About TeakReader
What It Is
TeakReader helps language learners build vocabulary from real content: EPUB books, Project Gutenberg classics, public-domain films, and TV subtitles. Instead of studying isolated word lists, learners meet words in context, then review them with flashcards and comprehension analytics.
Designed to Start Fast
The app includes classic books and public-domain movies in guest mode, so new learners can begin reading and tapping words before creating an account. Guests and linked accounts share the same free-tier tools, including Gutenberg search, uploads, translations, word marking, and flashcards. Premium adds higher limits, unlimited imports and subtitle study, full analytics, offline dictionary downloads, and easier access across devices when you link an account.
Built for Useful Study
TeakReader combines tap-to-define lookup, word and sentence translation, CEFR-level comprehension breakdowns, frequency-ranked word lists, and FSRS spaced-repetition reviews. The goal is simple: make every study session directly connected to what you want to read or watch next.
